Part of the National City of Sanctuary movement, Swindon City of Sanctuary seeks to promote a culture of welcome, inclusion and support for everyone in Swindon, with a focus on those seeking refuge. Having actively built up our organisation during our first year, their Development Worker is now taking a maternity break and they are looking for an enthusiastic and committed individual to take forward our many active projects and continue our successful growth.
This is a 25 hour/week maternity cover post with a fixed term contract for 10-12 months. You will have some experience of operational management within the charitable or voluntary sector and be able to demonstrate a commitment to our cause. You will be highly self-motivated and used to working both with volunteers and with people from diverse cultures. You will be supported by a group of active and energetic trustees, as well as a thriving local voluntary sector network. The role also relates to one existing part-time employee, whom you will supervise.
