Lady Bath shares Safari Park-Themed winter wellness workout

Emma Thynn, Marchioness of Bath, is sharing her own Safari Park themed winter wellness workout inspired by the exotic animals of Longleat.

The 18-minute online video features Emma during an early morning visit to the iconic Wiltshire wildlife attraction, which re-opened to visitors last weekend.

The workout combines two of the animal-loving Marchioness’ greatest passions – keeping fit and her cherished Safari Park.

Together with husband Ceawlin Thynn and their two children, Emma is proud to call Longleat home, and with some of the most spectacular animals from across the globe on her doorstep, she can’t help but take inspiration from them in her daily life.

“I’ve never done my own guided workout before, so I decided to try and get inspiration from some of the amazing animals here in the Safari Park,” said Emma.

“I’ve adapted a selection of the more traditional yoga positions and come up with things like a tiger stretch and a giraffe pose.

“The workout began as a bit of fun but I really loved making the video and I’m hoping other people will enjoy it as well,” she added.

She joined keepers to try out some of the yoga poses and meet some of the exotic animals including giraffes and ostriches before returning to her studio to begin the workout.

“Exercise is really important to my own wellness; particularly at this time of year when it’s cold and dark,” said Emma.

“I often listen to audio guided workouts which you can do indoors at any time of the day or night as it allows you to fit it in around looking after the kids and work.

“For me just being able to get outside for a walk really lifts my mood and I am so lucky to have this amazing estate just waiting to be explored literally outside the front door. I can’t imagine not exercising and walking is a really underrated way of staying mentally and physically healthy and active,” she added.

The new workout is available to watch and download free from the Longleat website and is designed to be suitable whatever your range of motion.

Longleat is open daily for the February Half Term (11th-19th) and then open on February 25th-26th. In March it will be open Friday to Sunday and then daily from 1st April.
