Kingsdown Crematorium Supports Mental Health Charity with £12,000 Contribution

Zoe and the dedicated team at Kingsdown Crematorium were thrilled to present a cheque for £12,000 to the mental health charity, Mind.

This substantial amount was raised through a remarkable initiative where families provided consent for the recycling of metals from cremations, as part of a national scheme overseen by the Institute of Cemetery and Crematorium Management. Every penny received from metal recycling is allocated to charitable causes.

Since 2014, Kingsdown Crematorium has been actively involved in giving back to the community, having donated a commendable total of £107,000 to various charitable organisations. The recent contribution to Mind highlights the crematorium’s commitment to supporting mental health initiatives and the invaluable services provided by Mind.

By utilising sustainable practices and directing the proceeds to worthy causes, they have transformed a simple act of recycling into a powerful force for positive change.
