Caring for a terminally ill loved one can be an incredibly challenging experience. However, one local charity is dedicated to making this journey a little easier, and they are currently seeking compassionate individuals to join their outstanding team.
With over 40 years of experience, Prospect Hospice has been providing exceptional care to local people in need.
Recognised as an outstanding organisation by the Care Quality Commission, the charity owes its success to the dedicated team of professionals working tirelessly to support the community. In the upcoming week, the hospice will be hosting two open events specifically designed for nurses and healthcare assistants interested in learning more about the rewarding opportunities available.
The open events will take place on Thursday, 15th June, from 5pm to 8pm, and on Saturday, 17th June, from 10am to 2pm at the hospice in Wroughton. Registered nurses and healthcare assistants will have the opportunity to tour the facility and engage with staff members to gain insights into the available roles.
Carolyn Bell, the Director of Patient Services at Prospect Hospice, expressed, “Working at the hospice is highly rewarding, and you play a truly meaningful role when you support someone at the end of their life. It’s a real privilege to be able to care for those who are terminally ill and support their families during what can be the saddest and most challenging part of their lives. We provide equal care for patients, their families, and loved ones – working together to make every day count.”
Prospect Hospice is currently offering fantastic career opportunities to join their specialist team, enabling individuals to make a tangible difference in their community. Prior experience in end-of-life care is not necessary, as comprehensive training will be provided to all new team members. The hospice also offers a rewarding development programme, allowing individuals to grow both personally and professionally.
Bell added, “We look forward to meeting anyone who would like to learn more about working at the hospice during our open events next week. However, if you are unable to attend on those dates, please don’t hesitate to get in touch via our website or give us a call. We would be happy to provide more information about the fulfilling work we do.”
