Prospective homeowners across Wiltshire and Oxfordshire will have the chance to get advice on buying a new home when Persimmon Homes Wessex holds a series of affordability events.
Independent financial advisers will be available at Persimmon developments on Saturday, 21 September, offering advice to people looking to take their first step onto the property ladder, as well as families hoping to move into a larger home.
The housebuilder says its developments are aimed at making buying a new property more accessible, with prices typically around 20 per cent below those of competitors. It also offers a range of schemes designed to help customers with the cost of buying a home.
The events will give potential buyers the opportunity to discuss their circumstances with independent advisers and find out what options may be available to them.
Persimmon Homes currently has developments in Chippenham and Trowbridge, while sister company Charles Church, which specialises in larger and higher specification properties, will be holding Part Exchange events at its outlets in the region.
Part Exchange allows homeowners to sell their existing property to the developer, which then takes responsibility for marketing and selling it. The service is designed to remove some of the uncertainty and costs traditionally associated with selling a home before buying another.
Charles Church and Persimmon developments taking part include Valley Park in Didcot, Wellington Gate in Grove and Jubilee Gardens in Warminster.
Pauline Fletcher, Wessex Sales Director for both Persimmon Homes and Charles Church, said affordability remained a major concern for people looking to move.
“We understand that affordability remains one of the biggest challenges facing people looking to move home, whether they are taking their first step onto the property ladder or searching for a larger home to suit their growing family,” she said.
“That is why we are bringing independent financial advisors to our developments and showcasing the range of schemes available to help make home ownership more accessible.”
She added that the company wanted to offer practical advice to buyers at different stages of the moving process.
“From support for first-time buyers through to our popular Part Exchange service for existing homeowners, we want to give customers clear advice and practical solutions tailored to their circumstances.”
The events are aimed at anyone considering a move who wants to find out more about the costs involved, available schemes and the properties currently being offered.
Fletcher encouraged potential buyers to visit their local development and speak to the sales teams.
“We would encourage anyone considering a move to come along, speak to our teams, and find out how we could help them secure a brand-new home sooner than they might think.”
