A homeless man was robbed of his only pair of shoes in the early hours of Wednesday morning in Wharf Green.
It is believed the man was approached by three youths whilst he was sleeping in a shop doorway where they proceeded to take his shoes and run off.
We understand a concerned passer-by who saw the incident went home to pick up a pair of his own footwear for the homeless man.
Police are currently going through CCTV in order to raise a public appeal to catch the thieves with a spokesperson saying ‘We responded to reports of a theft from a person in the early hours of Wednesday 18th January in Wharf Green, Swindon.
“No arrests have been made.”
