Heidi Alexander, Labour’s candidate for the Swindon South constituency, continues her outreach efforts with the release of dates for her upcoming “Big Conversation” events.
Following a successful series of engagements in February, which saw over 150 residents in attendance, Heidi aims to connect with even more constituents in March.

Residents are invited to join Heidi at two informal meet-and-greet sessions, where they can hear from the candidate herself, meet local borough and parish councillors, and raise any questions or concerns they may have.
The details for the March events are as follows:
- Saturday 09/03/24, 15:30-16:30: Eastcott Community Centre, Savernake Street
- Saturday 30/03/24, 11:00-12:00: Lawn Community Centre, Guildford Avenue
Reflecting on her commitment to the community, Heidi stated, “Since moving back home to Swindon a few years ago, I have knocked on thousands of doors, but I am very conscious that we don’t always get everyone in and I would like to give everyone an opportunity to meet with me before the next general election.”
Heidi also talked about her dedication to serving Swindon South, pledging to be a full-time Member of Parliament if elected. “I would work on the town’s behalf 52 weeks a year. I would be a full-time MP – no second jobs outside of Parliament,” she affirmed.
Acknowledging the diverse concerns of Swindon residents, Heidi expressed her eagerness to listen to their priorities. “As a candidate, I really want to hear what people’s priorities are. Everyone is welcome to attend these events. I’ll bring the biscuits if you bring the questions!”
These events offer an invaluable opportunity for residents to engage directly with their prospective MP, shaping the dialogue around key issues affecting Swindon South.
