Chris Neal has been appointed as substantive Principal of Haydon Wick Primary School after a brief interim period in charge at the school.
Mr Neal had been given the interim role at Haydon Wick three months ago after previously working for The White Horse Federation at St Mary & All Saints Primary School.
When first appointed to the role he said: “I’m very much looking forward to getting to know the staff, children, and parents.
“Longer term, I’m keen to look for opportunities to enhance our provision, identify areas where we could do better, and listen to pupils, parents, and staff who will help shape that vision.”
Since the beginning of this academic year, Haydon Wick has made vast improvement and is working towards achieving the Dyselxic Friendly Schools Award, achievements that have helped convince The White Horse Federation to give Mr Neal the position of principal on a full time basis.
These achievements have not gone unnoticed by The White Horse Federation who saw fit to appoint him as substantive Principal. The trust is looking forward to continuing their work with Chris Neal in the future.
When asked about his future plans for Haydon Wick Primary School, Chris stated: “I am very much looking forward to continuing the work I’ve started at Haydon Wick, to ensure we provide an excellent educational offer for all of our children.
“My school will continue to put the child at the centre of all it does.”
