A total of 80 people have now died at the Great Western Hospital from Covid-19 with the latest figures showing a further four deaths recorded in the latest figures.
The figures just released by the NHS show 546 people have died in hospitals in England as of Tuesday, April 28th taking the total deaths to 19,295.
The latest number of cases reported by Public Health England as of 8:36pm yesterday in Swindon is 347 with total cases in Wiltshire at 394.
These daily death figures are updated at 2pm each day and include confirmed cases reported at 5pm the previous day. Confirmation of COVID-19 diagnosis, death notification and reporting in central figures can take up to several days and the hospitals providing the data are under significant operational pressure. This means that the totals reported at 5pm on each day may not include all deaths that occurred on that day or on recent prior days.
These figures do not include deaths outside hospital, such as those in care homes. This approach makes it possible to compile deaths data on a daily basis using up to date figures.
