First-time buyers in Swindon are being offered a helping hand onto the property ladder, with a new incentive available at Canalside in Wichelstowe.
Anyone reserving an apartment at the development this weekend can receive a 5 per cent deposit contribution worth up to £11,750, together with an upgraded kitchen worth £2,600.
The offer comes as David Wilson Redrow South West unveils a brand-new show apartment at Canalside, giving prospective buyers the chance to have a look around the latest property and see what is on offer.
The developer is also hoping to take some of the mystery out of buying a new-build home, with a free online mortgage webinar planned for September.
The Mortgage Essentials session will take place from 6.30pm to 7.15pm on Wednesday, 9 September, and will be delivered in partnership with financial specialists The Mortgage Brain.
The webinar will cover the practicalities of securing a mortgage, preparing an application and navigating the various stages involved in purchasing a new-build property.
Experts with more than 55 years of combined industry experience will also explain some of the schemes and support available to people looking to buy their first home.

Canalside forms part of the wider Wichelstowe development on the southern edge of Swindon.
The neighbourhood includes one and two-bedroom apartments alongside three and four-bedroom houses and is being delivered through a joint venture involving Swindon Borough Council, Barratt Homes and David Wilson Redrow South West.
When complete, Wichelstowe is expected to provide around 3,000 new homes, together with schools and community facilities, across the 250-hectare site.
There are also plans for extensive open spaces, nature conservation areas, playing fields and allotments, while residents already have access to a network of nature trails and walks alongside the Wilts & Berks Canal.
The development includes around 12km of nature trails, 200 acres of open space and play areas, with schools within easy reach.
For those needing to travel further afield, the M4 at Junction 16 and Swindon railway station are both around a ten-minute drive away, putting Bristol and London within reach.
For prospective first-time buyers, however, the immediate attraction is rather closer to home – with a new apartment to explore and a contribution towards the deposit potentially making the first step onto the property ladder a little easier.
