Swindon’s very own creative agency, GEL Studios, has announced its partnership with Swindon Carers Centre as its Charity of the Year for 2025.
The collaboration begins in January and promises to bring a new website and a comprehensive year-long marketing campaign to raise awareness of the charity’s critical role in the community and to secure much-needed donations for its sustainability.

For over 25 years, Swindon Carers Centre has been a vital support system for unpaid carers in the area, championing their rights and wellbeing.
However, despite a 12% rise in registrations in 2023-2024, funding has failed to keep pace with demand. The charity, which supports over 5,700 carers, now faces a critical juncture, having withdrawn from a key tendering process earlier this year that accounted for 80% of its income. The decision, made over concerns about insufficient funding to sustain its services, has left the organisation with a December 2025 deadline to secure its future.
At a recent event hosted by GEL Studios, Managing Director Graeme Leighfield reflected on the agency’s commitment to local good causes:
“Businesses have a responsibility to give back, and as we grow, so does our commitment to making an impact within our local community.
“In 2024, we supported 17 local good causes with over 1,000 hours of resources. For 2025, we’ll be dedicating our focus to one organisation that needs it most. Swindon Carers Centre plays such a crucial role in our community, and we’re thrilled to help amplify their voice and support their mission.”
Bronte Hague, Head of Finance and Resources at Swindon Carers Centre, expressed gratitude for the partnership:
“It’s been a privilege to work with GEL Studios already. Their expertise and support have given us valuable time to reflect on our impact and our plans for the future. This partnership couldn’t come at a more important time for us, and we’re eager to see what we can achieve together in 2025.”
The year-long partnership is set to include a complete redesign of the charity’s website and a targeted campaign to highlight the challenges unpaid carers face, ensuring the organisation can continue its life-changing work for years to come.
