Forestry England’s Westonbirt, The National Arboretum, is set to embark on an exciting year-long celebration, marking the 25th anniversary of the beloved children’s book “The Gruffalo”.
In collaboration with Magic Light Pictures, Forestry England has been enchanting families since 2014, inviting them to explore the magical world of The Gruffalo nestled within the depths of England’s enchanting woods.

To commemorate this special milestone, Westonbirt Arboretum invites families to join in the festivities and celebrate The Gruffalo’s 25th birthday with an exhilarating new trail experience.
The Gruffalo’s 25th Birthday Trail promises a grand celebration at Westonbirt! Families will embark on an adventure, working together to search for missing party items while enjoying fun and games along the trail. Participants will also discover the intricate ways in which plants and animals care for one another.
Spanning 26 Forestry England sites, the trails feature five large activity panels, including two with interactive elements. Additionally, visitors can engage with 15 smaller spotter panels to search for missing party items. Five rubbing stations add an artistic touch to the adventure.
For those seeking to elevate their experience, an accompanying trail pack will be available for purchase onsite, priced at just £4. The pack includes a festive party headband to ignite the party spirit, an activity leaflet to spark curiosity, stickers, pencils, crayons for creativity, and a woven Gruffalo sew-on patch as a cherished memento.
This celebratory trail promises to captivate Gruffalo fans of all ages, offering a memorable and educational experience amidst the splendor of our enchanting forests.
