There have been another five deaths recorded at the Great Western Hospital where the patient had tested positive for coronavirus, the latest NHS England figures show.
This latest deaths, one yesterday and four on the 14th, mean 51 coronavirus-related deaths have occurred at The Great Western Hospital.
The family of the latest fatalities have been informed, NHS England said.
The total number of deaths recorded in England over the last 24 hours, testing positive for coronavirus is 740, with 151 of those deaths occurring yesterday, 15th April.
The figure does not include deaths outside of hospitals, such as in care homes or in the community.
The latest Public Health England figures show there are currently 199 positive cases of coronavirus in Swindon and a further 256 in Wiltshire.
These figures will be updated at 2pm each day and include confirmed cases reported at 5pm the previous day. Confirmation of COVID-19 diagnosis, death notification and reporting in central figures can take up to several days and the hospitals providing the data are under significant operational pressure. This means that the totals reported at 5pm on each day may not include all deaths that occurred on that day or on recent prior days.
These figures do not include deaths outside hospital, such as those in care homes. This approach makes it possible to compile deaths data on a daily basis using up to date figures.
