Prospect Hospice is urging local runners to grab one of the last 20 places to join Team Prospect at this year’s Swindon Half Marathon on Sunday 28 September.
As the official Chosen Charity of the Year 2025, Prospect Hospice is encouraging individuals, businesses and groups to take on one of the region’s biggest running challenges while raising vital funds for local hospice care.
The Swindon Half Marathon attracts thousands of runners each year, offering a scenic route with five miles of flat, fast roads followed by gentle hills – making it a fantastic event for both experienced runners and first-timers.
Jeremy Lune, Chief Executive of Prospect Hospice, said:
“We’re absolutely thrilled to be the charity partner for this year’s Swindon Half Marathon. With just 20 places left, we’re calling on our community to take on this incredible challenge and help us continue providing expert, personalised care to local people living with life-limiting illnesses.”
Runners signing up with Prospect Hospice will receive a branded vest, fundraising support, and the knowledge that every mile will help fund care for local people.
This year’s race is especially meaningful as Prospect Hospice celebrates 45 years of free, specialist end-of-life care in Swindon and north east Wiltshire – making it a landmark year to run for a reason.
