Visit STEAM this February Half-Term for heaps of creative fun, a wide range of trails and a fantastic opportunity to ‘Meet the Railway Workers’.
You can climb aboard magnificent locomotives, be a signal person in the GWR interactive Signal Box and ‘drive’ the steam train simulator while travelling through STEAM’s story-telling displays.
Special activities are included with standard admission and STEAM Season Tickets.
The new Family Activity for 2018 is ‘Are We Nearly There?’ and will be held on Thursday 15th February between 10am – 12pm, or 1pm – 3pm.
You can discover the wide range of colourful GWR holiday posters that advertise holiday places on the GWR rail network and even create your own poster as you explore the GWR’s clever use of graphic design and publicity.
‘Meet The Railway Workers’ will also be held on Saturdays 10th & 24th February between 10am – 4pm where you can meet real GWR engine drivers and signalmen who will show you the controls and bring the great railway story to life.
Just head for No. 6000 King George V, No. 3717 City of Truro and No. 4073 Caerphilly Castle and the friendly STEAM volunteers will welcome you aboard.
