Fancy signing up for an exercise based charity challenge? Why not do something you wouldn’t normally do whilst reaping all the health benefits that come with the training and at the same time raise funds to help somebody a little less fortunate than yourself.
Catering, Hospitality and Education Foundation (CHEF) are inviting you to join around 4,000 other cyclists this September for a 54 mile bike ride from London down to Brighton sea front this September.
Starting from Clapham Common in London, you will ride along idyllic country lanes through Mitcham, picturesque Carshalton, Chipstead, Banstead and Haywards Heath before taking on Ditchling Beacon – a mile long climb to the top of the South Downs! From here it’s all downhill to the finish on the colourful and bustling Brighton seafront.
Whether you are an experienced rider or someone who is looking to get fit, this is a very popular event and places will fill quickly so do make sure you book quickly by emailing wayne@chef.gives
Only £55 registration and a fundraising target of £150 towards the charity to help support its work in supporting entrepreneurs in the small Southern Africa country of Lesotho.
CHEF offer funding to unemployed people to give them a helping hand to achieve their dreams.
One example is Moeketsi from Malealea. He was unemployed and had no source of income. He asked for some funding to help start his own popcorn business in his village to purchase the materials to build a basic shack, buy a gas ring burner with gas, a large pot with lid, a few sacks of corn and some paper bags.

With the help of funding from CHEF, Moeketsi has his own business in the mountains and is able to provide financial support for his family.
