Using Artificial Intelligence (AI) to write the lyrics of a song is nothing new with language-based ‘generative AI’ platforms already transforming the music business in a meaningful way – LyricStudio, is reported to have had a helping hand in ‘assisting’ the creation of over a million songs.
AI-generated songs are created by feeding large datasets of existing music into neural networks, which then learn the patterns and structures of the songs. Using this knowledge, the AI can generate new compositions that sound similar to the original songs.
One example of an AI-generated song is “Daddy’s Car” by Flow Machines, a project led by researchers at Sony Computer Science Laboratories in Paris. The song was composed by an AI system trained on a dataset of Beatles songs and was performed by a human singer.
While AI-generated songs may lack the emotional depth and creativity of human composers, they are a testament to the power of AI and its ability to create music that is virtually indistinguishable from that of human artists.
As AI technology continues to advance, it is likely that we will see more AI-generated songs in the future, blurring the lines between human and machine creativity.
Well here is what you came for, an AI-generated song all about Swindon.
Swindon’s Spirit
Verse 1:
Nestled in the heart of Wiltshire,
A town with a unique style and culture,
Swindon is a place where dreams come true,
With people that are friendly and true.
Chorus:
Swindon, Swindon, you’re the one,
A town that’s always on the run,
From the Magic Roundabout to the Outlet Centre,
Swindon, you’re the town that we all remember.
Verse 2:
From the railway works to the town hall,
Swindon has a history that stands tall,
A place where the old meets the new,
A town with a spirit that’s tried and true.
Chorus:
Swindon, Swindon, you’re the one,
A town that’s always on the run,
From the Magic Roundabout to the Outlet Centre,
Swindon, you’re the town that we all remember.
Bridge:
The beauty of Swindon is in the eyes of the beholder,
A place where the streets are lined with the young and older,
A town that’s welcoming to all,
A place that will never let you fall.
Chorus:
Swindon, Swindon, you’re the one,
A town that’s always on the run,
From the Magic Roundabout to the Outlet Centre,
Swindon, you’re the town that we all remember.
Outro:
Swindon, you’re the place to be,
A town that’s filled with energy,
With your history and your charm,
Swindon, you’ll never lose your charm.
