Enquiries in relation to a disorder outside The Dockle Farmhouse in Swindon on Friday night are progressing.
Officers were called to a report of a disorder involving a group of teenagers outside the pub in Bridge End Road at approximately 7.20pm.
An 18-year-old man was assaulted during the incident and suffered an injury to his head. He attended the Great Western Hospital for treatment.
Supt Adrian Burt said: “Following this incident, we are aware that a number of videos and photos of the disorder have been circulating on social media and in the local and national media.
“Since we received this report, a team of officers have been conducting extensive enquiries.
“Incidents of this nature are extremely disappointing and no doubt the footage will have caused concern within the community. Now pubs are reopening, we understand that many people will be pleased to be able to head out and socialise with friends once again. While the majority of people have been doing so in a sensible manner and adhering to social distancing guidelines – there are a small minority of individuals who have caused issues across the county.”
