In a TV address this evening, Boris Johnson announced new nationwide coronavirus lockdown rules that come into force immediately.
As part of these restrictions, all pubs in England will be unable to offer click and collect services or serve takeaway for alcohol.
Pubs will however still be able to deliver alcohol, of serve takeaway food.
Announcing these new restrictions he said “The weeks ahead will be the hardest yet but I really do believe that we’re entering the last phase of the struggle because with every jab that goes into our arms we’re tilting the odds against Covid and in favour of the British people.”
