Swindon’s Eastcott Veterinary Referrals and Eastcott Vets are basking in the glow of international recognition after once again being awarded the coveted gold award by the International Society of Feline Medicine (ISFM).
This marks the fourth consecutive year the hospital has achieved the highest accolade, solidifying its reputation as a leading provider of top-tier feline care.
The gold award is a testament to Eastcott’s unwavering commitment to the health and wellbeing of cats, a dedication that cat advocate Hannah Nicholls is particularly proud of. “Receiving another gold award from the ISFM highlights Eastcott’s ongoing dedication to providing the best possible care for our feline patients,” Hannah commented.

The practice features a separate cat-only waiting area, strategically placed out of sight of other animals, to create a calming environment for feline visitors. The hospital also boasts 14 consulting rooms, providing private spaces for individual assessments, and a fully equipped cat ward with extra-large kennels. These kennels are thoughtfully designed with cosy bedding and a layout that prevents eye contact between cats, reducing stress during their stay.
The ISFM’s Cat Friendly Clinic programme was established to encourage veterinary practices to adopt cat-specific care standards, making visits less stressful for feline patients and their owners. The programme awards clinics with bronze, silver, or gold accreditation based on their facilities and practices, with gold being the highest level of recognition.
