Police are appealing for help from the public after a food outlet on Cricklade Road was targeted in a burglary during the early hours of 15th April.
The break-in occurred at approximately 4.30am, when an unidentified suspect forced entry into the premises and made off with a cash till containing an estimated £3,000.
In the process of the burglary, the suspect appeared to have damaged their coat – a detail that could prove vital in identifying them. An image showing the ripped garment has been released in the hope it jogs someone’s memory or leads to a fresh lead.
Residents in the Beatrice Street, Whiteman Street, and Florence Street areas – as well as those living on nearby roads – are being asked to check any doorbell or CCTV footage for unusual activity around the time of the incident.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We’re particularly interested in anyone who may have captured footage of a person acting suspiciously in the area around that time. Any small detail could make a big difference in progressing our investigation.”
