Residents of Goddard Avenue want to know when the double yellow lines on Goddard Avenue at the Westlecot end will be reinstated. Resurfacing work was done on Goddard Avenue before Christmas and they are still to be reinstated.
Old Town Councillor, Nadine Watts, said, “I am really concerned that the double yellows have not been reinstated yet. There is a lot of pavement parking which makes it difficult on the pavement for pedestrians, especially mobility scooters users, wheelchair users and parents with pushchairs. It is also making it more difficult for buses.
It is not only frustrating, but dangerous the line work hasn’t been done yet. Residents have contacted me expressing their concerns over the lack of double yellow lines.
I spoke with Council officers again today and they said they would look at getting a date from the subcontractor to carry out this work as soon as possible, with a letter drop first, so that residents know in advance.”
