South Swindon Parish Council will be organising a Front Garden Competition this summer in the South Swindon Parish.
The concept behind this is to encourage residents to use the front of their properties to brighten up their neighbourhoods.
This initiative is aiming to be inclusive of all properties with creativity from smaller front gardens, through use of hanging baskets and plant pots being positively encouraged.
The MidCounties Co-Op group have kindly donated £250 towards this project for prizes and the deadline for entries has been agreed as the 1st July- with the judges considering entries a few days afterwards.
The Chair of the Parish Council’s Environment Working Party, Cllr Linda Kasmaty, said:
“The Parish Council wanted to organise this competition to encourage people in the Parish to use their gardens to brighten up their neighbourhoods and communities.
We want to be inclusive of all properties and are encouraging people with small front gardens to take part and maximise the use of space they have.” Contact the Parish
