Dario Carboni, aged 24, from Tottenham, London, who has been charged with the murder of Ken Kiley, appeared at Bristol Crown Court yesterday for a Pre Trial Preparation Hearing (PTPH).
He entered no plea for the charge of murder – his defence indicated they would be seeking to have this charge dismissed, and a provisional date for this application to be heard has been set for 12 October.
He pleaded not guilty to causing death by dangerous driving and guilty to driving whilst disqualified but not at the time of the collision.
He has been remanded in custody and is next due to appear at Bristol Crown Court on 7 January 2019. The trial has been listed for two weeks.
