
Terri-Lee Pearce, aged 33 from Woodsman Road was arrested for breaching her ASBO, as well as for assaulting a police officer (spitting at the PC), on Friday 6th January.
Pearce’s ASBO conditions were that she must not enter or be in Elizabeth House Queens Drive Swindon or the surrounding area and she must not enter or be in any other Swindon Borough Council sheltered housing scheme without written permission from an authorised representative of Swindon Borough Council.
This antisocial behaviour order was issued by Swindon Magistrates Court on 21st June 2013 and lasts until further order.
She was charged and remanded in custody for the offences she committed in breach of these conditions and appeared at Swindon Magistrates on Saturday 7th January where she was remanded again.
Pearce then appeared at Chippenham Magistrates on Thursday 12th January, where the following results were given:
a) Between 09/12/16 and 04/01/17 breach of restraining order x 10. The defendant was committed to prison for 6 weeks concurrent to a previous suspended sentence, giving an overall sentence of 12 weeks custody.
b) On 06/01/17 Pearce assaulted a constable in the execution of her duty. She was ordered to pay compensation of £50 and a surcharge to fund victim services of £115.
PC Jess Swanborough said: “Thanks to a close working relationship with our partner agencies we managed to arrest and successful charge this persistent offender.
“This proves that we take any breach of ASBOs seriously, the message to anyone considering this is: ‘if you have one and breach it, you will be caught and punished.”
