According to a survey by energy company Utilita, cash-strapped couples are resorting to showering together in an effort to save money.
As the cost of living crisis persists, 30% of adults have altered their washing routines to reduce their water and heating expenses.
Although the average Brit still takes six showers per week, each lasting eight minutes on average, 17% have started to combine showering with brushing their teeth.
Utilita, which surveyed 2,000 adults, suggests that reducing shower time to four minutes can save £112 per year and also help to minimise our environmental impact.
