Councils given powers to keep pubs and restaurants closed until July

According to the Sunday Telegraph, pubs and restaurants could remain closed until the summer.

It is being reported that the Government have extended a laws first brought in last July which allowed local authorities to close premises or outdoor spaces.

In the past few weeks a Downing Street spokesperson has been quoted as saying: “The May Day bank holiday is more likely the moment you see pubs reopening.”
