Health Secretary Matt Hancock confirmed this afternoon that a vaccine being developed at Oxford University will begin human trials from Thursday this week.

The vaccine, the first British made that has made it to clinical trials, will be trialled in conjunction with the University Hospital Southampton.

Matt Hancock confirmed the UK must meet five criteria before the coronavirus lockdown can be lifted without the risk of a second peak.
