Big Breakfast Plus, a registered charity that offers a free cooked breakfast for homeless people in Swindon is on the look out for new volunteers to ensure it can keep providing this essential service.
Big Breakfast Plus provides homeless and hungry people with a free cooked breakfast, cereal and toast, and unlimited refills of hot drinks between 07.30-09.00 every Tuesday to Saturday.
Not only does the charity provide the homeless with a place to enjoy a hot meal in the mornings it also gives homeless people the chance to relax and socialise in a warm place and offers easy access to important local support services including housing, employment, health and addiction.
Based at The Pilgrim Centre in Regent Circus, Big Breakfast Plus receives no statutory or local authority funding, and is reliant on volunteers to continue the work they do.
New volunteers are always needed to help the charity run the breakfast shifts, raise the charities profile at local events, fundraise and also collect food.
