Charities across Swindon and Wiltshire that focus on helping young people make positive lifestyle choices are being invited to apply for a significant funding opportunity, courtesy of Ansvar Insurance.
The charity sector specialist has announced it will provide three selected charities with £75,000 each, distributed over the next three years, to support projects aimed at improving the lives of children and young people.
The funding will focus on charities promoting safety, mental well-being, healthy eating, sports, and exercise. Each charity will receive £25,000 annually, starting in January 2025, to continue or begin initiatives that directly support young people. Registered charities across Wiltshire can now submit their applications, detailing how they would use the funding to benefit their work.
Sarah Cox, Managing Director of Ansvar, highlighted the company’s commitment to the charitable sector, stating: “As a specialist insurer for charities, we see the invaluable work they do every day. Our Programme of Giving aims to help these organisations face the growing challenges in meeting the needs of the communities they serve. We’ve increased our funding to £75,000 per charity to make a more significant impact.”
Ansvar, part of the Benefact Group, is well-known for its charitable contributions, and this initiative forms part of its broader Programme of Giving, which also includes volunteer work and office space for non-profit organisations.
Applications for this funding are open until Monday, 4th November, with the successful charities to be notified by Friday, 13th December. Charities can apply directly via the Ansvar website.
