Changes have been made to the pedestrian diversion route following the closure of the Fleming Way underpass to make it easier and more accessible for users.
The council have now been able to open up a pathway on the east side of Milford Street, which had been closed due to the ongoing work on the Tri-Centre office building.
The double crossing along Milford Street will also remain in place as will the signed diversions.
Working with the Swindon Blind Association, the Adult Community Team at Swindon Borough Council have also been taking visually impaired pedestrians along the route to give them confidence in using the new walkway.
