With hearts brimming with pride, The Park Academies Trust Sixth Form is celebrating in the remarkable achievements of its students in this year’s A Level, Applied General, and T Level results.
Amidst the echoes of challenges posed by the pandemic, the resolute spirit of both teachers and pupils has shone through, propelling achievements to standards reminiscent of the pre-pandemic years.

This year’s examinations marked a significant return to near-pre-pandemic conditions, with minimal additional support required. With a focus on upholding national grading boundaries, the results echo the commitment of educators and students alike.
The A Level and Applied General results of 2020 and 2021 were determined through teacher assessment, while the preceding year saw a robust package of Ofqual support in place. Acknowledging the residual impact of the pandemic on this year’s students, The Park Academies Trust Sixth Form extended substantial support and guidance, culminating in results that not only surpassed pre-pandemic standards but also remained above the 2019 national average.

Owen Russell, Assistant Principal and Head of Sixth Form, said: “I am so proud of the effort and commitment our students have put into this year’s exams. We are still dealing with the aftermath of Covid and so they deserve extra praise for their resilience and determination despite all the challenges they faced in the last three years.
“Staff at The Park Academies Trust Sixth Form have once again gone above and beyond to ensure our students have been well looked after, with a particular focus on their wellbeing, as well as guiding them towards their successful futures.”
Benedick Ashmore-Short, CEO, The Park Academies Trust , proudly echoes the sentiment, “Congratulations to all our students and staff. This year we were the closest to pre-pandemic exam standards so these results have been achieved despite all the significant challenges over recent years. It’s therefore all the more inspiring to see that all the hard work has really paid off. I wish everyone the very best for the future if they’re leaving us this year and I’m delighted that staff, students and families can be proud of everyone’s achievements.”
Schools Minister, Nick Gibb, also joined in the celebration, expressing gratitude to the teachers and students, “Congratulations to all those receiving their results for their A Levels and GCSEs this summer. Students from The Park Academy Trust Sixth Form should be incredibly proud of what they have achieved and we are hugely grateful to teachers for all their hard work.
“For many pupils, these will have been the first formal set of exams they have ever taken and we have done everything that we can to ensure they are walking away with qualifications that hold value now and in the future.
“These results will enable pupils to take the next step in their lives, whether that’s in further education, an apprenticeship or the workplace and I wish them all the best whatever they decide to do.”
