Travel back in time to the Middle Ages for a royal celebration of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Weekend at Longleat (3rd-6th June).
Juggling jesters, trumpeting heralds and medieval royalty will be parading around the beautiful grounds and formal gardens of the Wiltshire stately home.

Guests will be greeted by the royal heralds at the Main Square, who will announce their arrival with trumpets and check visitors are suitably prepared to meet the King and Queen.
Joking and juggling jesters will be on hand to entertain visitors and there’s also the chance to come face to face with the historical royals as they promenade throughout the grounds or relax in the formal gardens.
Platinum Jubilee: Lord Bath and the Coronation Exhibition
To mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022, Longleat House is also hosting a fascinating exhibition telling the extraordinary story of the 6th Marquess of Bath’s decision to travel to the Queen’s 1953 Coronation in the Longleat State Chariot.

The exhibition’s centrepiece is the magnificent chariot itself, which was built in around 1820. On the day of the Coronation, dray horses and a driver from a local brewery were enlisted to get the Marquess to Westminster Abbey on time.
Rarely seen objects and archival material are also on display, including the official summons to attend the Coronation signed by the Queen along with correspondence from the Earl Marshal, the Duke of Norfolk, urging the 6th Marquess not to travel by chariot due to concerns about parking.
