Martin Cundliffe, 62, of Lawrence Drive, Calne has been charged with attempted murder.
This follows an incident on Saturday afternoon in which a woman in her 30s was stabbed – sustaining serious but not life threatening injuries.
Cundliffe appeared before Swindon Magistrates this morning and was remanded in custody until next court appearance on 5th January.
