If so, this exciting opportunity is for you! Supermarket Aldi is on the hunt for an Official Beer Taster to sample and review its upcoming range of beers, set to launch on 11th September.
The chosen candidate will receive an impressive selection of beverages, including four pale ales, three IPAs, two beers, four ciders, one stout, and one lager. Each brew will need to be tasted and reviewed, with the valuable feedback guiding Aldi’s decision-making for its future beer offerings.
To apply, aspiring beer connoisseurs must send an email explaining why they think they should be chosen for the role – as well as outlining what their favourite Aldi beer is and why.
Last year’s lucky recruit, Emma Budd from Milton Keynes, seized the coveted title of Aldi’s first-ever Official Beer Taster. Emma’s love for beer knew no bounds, as she sampled locally brewed delights in an impressive 51 countries, from the shores of Antigua to the stunning islands of Mykonos and St Lucia. Her expert opinions played a crucial role in shaping the product offering for this year, especially when it came to flavoured beers.
Julie Ashfield, Managing Director of Buying at Aldi UK, expresses the supermarket’s dedication to innovation and experimentation with beer flavours, “We are always looking to innovate and excite when it comes to our beer range, experimenting with flavours such as coffee, caramel and watermelon.
“Emma’s opinions were instrumental in guiding us for this year’s product offering, particularly with regards to the flavoured beers, so we look forward to seeing what this year’s applicants bring.
