Thames Water has taken the decision to close Wootton Bassett Road this morning following a burst water main.
The closure, implemented as a precautionary measure, comes as Thames Water mobilises to address the burst pipe promptly.
Repair works are scheduled to continue throughout today, with plans for the damaged section of the pipe to be replaced tomorrow morning (19 March).
Motorists and residents are advised to seek alternative routes and plan their journeys accordingly while the repair operations are underway.
The closure is anticipated to remain in effect until tomorrow afternoon, pending the successful completion of the repair works.
