The Prime Minister will lead a Downing Street press conference later today to update the nation on the latest in the coronavirus pandemic.
He is expected to praise study which showed a single dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine could dramatically slash infection rates of the virus.
Reports have shown that the vaccine offers 76 per cent protection up to three months after the first dose is administered and could also help reduce transmission of Covid-19 by 67 per cent.
The briefing is scheduled to start at 5pm.
It is not yet clear who will be alongside him on the podiums.
