Five men in their 20’s from the Reading area were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class B drugs.

Four search warrants were then issued for addresses in Reading and another in Bracknell which led to a sixth arrest after a cannabis factory was located with more than 100 cannabis plants growing in three separate rooms.

Approximately £4,000 cash was also seized from the property and another man aged in his 40s and also from Reading was arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the cultivation of cannabis.

Insp Steve Love said: “This was an excellent result – as a result of a vigilant officer stopping a vehicle which appeared suspicious, we now have six people in custody and have been able to dismantle a cannabis factory and seize a number of items.

“This just shows how important it is to report concerns regarding drug activity in your area – a small piece of intelligence could lead to something much bigger.”
