Asda Slashes Prices on Over 400 Own-Brand Items: A Comprehensive List of Savings

In a bid to provide respite during the ongoing cost of living crisis, Asda has taken a significant step by reducing prices on more than 400 of its own-brand products.

This reduction includes essential items like bread, cheese, and nappies, all aimed at supporting customers through these challenging times.

On average, the supermarket giant has lowered the prices of its own-brand goods by 11%. This follows a previous price reduction on 200 items in July, highlighting Asda’s commitment to its customers’ financial well-being.

The price adjustments took effect from August 24th, both in-store and online, offering shoppers immediate relief.

Asda’s Chief Commercial Officer, Kris Comerford, shared insight into this initiative, stating, “While the headline inflation rate may have eased slightly last month, our own data tells us that many customers are continuing to struggle with rising living costs.

“We have targeted this latest price investment on the products that our customers buy week-in and week-out, to help their shopping budgets stretch further.

Comerford went on to say that Asda was working closely with suppliers to try and cut costs, “we’re also continuing to work closely with our suppliers and whenever there is an opportunity to pass on commodity price savings to customers we will do so.”
