In a bid to continue its support for those in need during the current crisis, Asda has announced the launch of its first food box, but what is inside?
Available now on foodboxes.asda.com the box will typically contain 31 store cupboard staples for just £30 (price includes delivery).
Asda have advised the box will be ‘brimming with supplies that have been in high demand amid the pandemic, including cereal, bread, pasta, tinned fruit and vegetables, sauces, Extra Special jam, teabags and long-life milk.’
The food box is available to all, but Asda hopes it will help the most vulnerable who are struggling to get to the supermarket, or those who are self-isolating.
The box will be delivered direct to the doorstep within two days of placing the order.
The delivery will be made by a third-party provider so as not to add additional pressure to Asda’s existing grocery home shopping service.
A typical box contains approximately 31 items including the following:
- Tea
- Coffee
- Baked beans & canned soup
- Long life Milk
- Bread
- Cereal & cereal bars
- Biscuits
- Tinned vegetables
- Toilet roll
- Rice, pasta & pasta sauce
