Appeal for dash cam footage after woman injured in Blunsdon van theft

Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses and dash cam footage following a serious incident in Blunsdon Monday afternoon (22 September) in which a woman was dragged down the road during the theft of a van.

At around 12.30pm, officers received reports that a white van, making deliveries in Blunsdon High Street, had been targeted by an unknown suspect. While the driver was delivering a parcel, the suspect got into the vehicle and drove away.

The driver, a woman in her 40s, attempted to hold on to the van and was dragged down the road. She has been taken to hospital with injuries that are thought to be potentially life-changing.

The van has since been located, and officers have spoken to a number of witnesses at the scene. Police are now appealing for anyone with information — particularly those with dash cam footage from the area at the time — to come forward.

“This was a shocking incident which has left a woman with very serious injuries. We are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed what happened, or who may have captured the incident on dash cam.”
