Wiltshire Police are appealing for witnesses after an aggravated burglary in Swindon.
The incident took place at a residential address on Manchester Road shortly after 7pm on Saturday night (29/12).
A man entered the property and demanded money.
After he left the property and officers arrived, a 34-year-old man was located inside with a serious head injury.
He was taken to hospital where he remains in a life threatening condition.
The suspect is described as black, approximately 6ft 6ins tall and wearing a ¾ length coat, black tracksuit in waterproof material with the hood up and his face covered to his nose with a scarf.
