The Prime Minister has this afternoon pledged to have all care home patients in England vaccinated against coronavirus by the end of this month saying ‘we are using that vaccine in care homes for the first time today and by the end of the month we hope to have offered every elderly care home resident a vaccine’.
The announcement came in the daily Downing Street press conference where it was also announced that 1.5million doses of the original Pfizer vaccine had now been administered in the UK.
Mr Johnson also confirmed that both local authorities and the NHS would be working alongside the Army to organise the rollout plan with more details to follow next Monday.
