The second phase of the Akers Way reconstruction, including a 200-metre section between Purton Road Roundabout and Nova Hreod Academy, is now complete.
The completion of this section of the work will allow the contractor’s to move onto Phase 3 of the project which will involve a 280-metre section of the carriageway up to the Nova Hreod Academy junction.
This work will start from Monday 10th July.
Whilst this work continues access will be maintained for residents and Nova Hreod Academy only with the contractor looking to make some additional areas available for residents’ parking in the near future.
The diversion route for the remaining phases of work at Akers Way will be via Purton Road, Moredon Road, Cheney Manor Road and Akers Way.
The diversion route is clearly signed in both directions for the duration of the works.
Motorists remain to be advised to allow extra time for your journey.
