Christ Church has announced a dynamic competition to help nurture the entrepreneurial spirit of the youth in Swindon to help mark the 10th anniversary of the Community Centre @ Christ Church.
In collaboration with local businesses and the entrepreneur Nick Hewer, known for his roles on “The Apprentice” and “Countdown,” the centre extends an invitation to young minds for an entrepreneurial challenge that fosters creativity and community engagement.
The “Innovative Fundraising Idea Competition” is designed to inspire young individuals within specific age categories: 8-11 (Junior School), 11-16 (Secondary School), and 17-18 (College Students).
Participants are encouraged to devise pioneering fundraising concepts for Christ Church and the Community Centre or another charity. A panel of local business professionals, including the esteemed Nick Hewer, will evaluate entries on January 20th, 2024.

This competition not only encourages entrepreneurial thinking but also offers a platform for youth to contribute meaningfully to our community’s growth.”
The top three entries from each age category will have the exclusive opportunity to present their concepts to the panel. Beyond the excitement of presenting their ideas, winners in each age bracket will witness their visions come to life as they implement their fundraising initiatives at Christ Church.
In addition to this unique opportunity, the winners will also be offered the chance to attend work experience placements at local businesses such as Excalibur Communications, Hilton Hotels, Gel Studios, and Prime Studios.
