75% of over 80s in the UK have been vaccinated for Covid-19

Health Secretary Matt Hancock has this morning confirmed that three quarters of all people over 80 in the UK have been vaccinated.

Confirming the number he also confirmed that “We’ve vaccinated more people in just the last three days than France has in the entire history of this disease.”

Mr Hancock went on to confirm that it is a similar number in care homes, this “is absolutely brilliant progress,” he sadi.

It came as Mr Hancock refused to guarantee schools would fully reopen after the February half-term saying “I would hope so but we have to look at the data.”
