Official figures released today show 252,992 Covid-19 vaccines administered yesterday, lower than the 400,000-a-day target needed to reach 15 million of the most vulnerable groups by mid-February.
To be able to fulfil Boris Johnson’s promise of immunising all 15million of the top four vulnerable groups by February 15th, at least 400,000 people every day for the next three weeks.
Across England around 6.5 million have received their first dose with another 400,090 receiving their follow-up jab.
The figures published today show around 56,000 fewer people tested positive for the Covid-19 virus in the third week of January than the week before.
