Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes has committed to invest more than £2.1m to support people who want to buy a new home in Wiltshire.
The UK’s number one housebuilder is offering a range of financial help for homebuyers, whether they are taking their first step on the property ladder, moving to a bigger home or downsizing.
Buyers can receive support towards a deposit, mortgage payments or moving and running costs on selected properties if they complete before 30 June 2023.
Louise Ware, sales director for Barratt David Wilson Homes South West, said: “While affordability constraints may hold back some segments of the market, we’re focused on supporting people who need or want to move with straightforward financial help, allowing them to access the great new communities we’re creating across the region.”
Andrea Pilgrim, sales director for Barratt Homes, added: “The communities we build incorporate large areas of green open space that encourage wildlife, support biodiversity and improve our own health and well-being – people shouldn’t be excluded from these benefits due to cost of living concerns, and that’s why we’ve committed millions of pounds to the local housing market.
“Not only can we provide financial help but in the longer term, moving into a new home can also lead to significant energy cost savings which is an important consideration when rising costs are a concern. Our properties include a range of sustainability features to help reduce bills which could represent savings of up to.”
In addition to financial help for buyers, Barratt David Wilson Homes has also increased and extended its support for key workers. The housebuilder will contribute £1,000 towards their deposit for every £20,000 they spend when they reserve before June. Flooring is also included on selected plots.
