This week saw the 100th patient who needed hospital treatment for Covid-19 in Swindon recover and be discharged from the Great Western Hospital, it has been revealed.
Great Western Hospital chief executive Kevin McNamara made the announcement on Twitter this morning (April 24th).
Mr McNamara said: “This week we saw our 100th Covid patient discharged from hospital to continue their onward recovery.
“This can get lost in all of the other news around Covid so worth remembering. It’s a great credit to all the teams clinical and non-clinical.”
The latest number of cases reported by Public Health England as of 3:11pm yesterday in Swindon is 307 with total cases in Wiltshire at 400.
