Following the success of their debut show Whimsy, Scram Collective is returning to the Shoebox Theatre on the 15th of June with Fools of the Apocalypse, a fun and heartfelt romp through the end of times.
Fools of the Apocalypse, which is part of the Shoebox Theatre’s professional programme, is a clown show filled with exaggerated characters and absurdist gags, which offers a more playful take on a doomsday scenario.
“We think the play is particularly resonant today as it offers a much needed dose of high-spirited humour in a world that seems to be becoming ever more tired of political tensions and grandstanding. Its central premise reflects a fear of catastrophe recently reignited like never before by growing tensions between races, countries and unions. If the world ended, how would we cope? As two people learn to adapt to their new apocalyptic surroundings, we see how humans can make the best out of the worst situations.” said Alex Newport, Artistic Director of Scram Collective.
This will be the first performance of the show before it heads to the Camden Fringe in August 2019.
Tickets are £8 and can be booked at www.shoeboxtheatre.org.uk/whatson
